THE PROVISIONAL HOME
For children who have the possibility of rehabilitation in their family.
FAMILY HOMES
For children staying on a permanent basis. Full family care.

To read Jova's story (in Spanish).

The home is located in the city of Cuzco, with 45 places for boys and girls. 30 of these children are from 0 to 3 years old.
In the home they are provided with full care; this means a place to live, education, and medical and psychological care, since in many cases the children arrive malnourished, with parasites, with no previous schooling and with psychological problems stemming from a lack of affection, maltreatment, and even sexual abuse.
As well as abandoned children, the centre takes in children at risk. This means the cases in which, either through neglect or temporary or permanent incapacity, the family cannot cover the child's needs, thus putting her/his development and social adjustment at risk.
This centre accepts children day and night and at weekends (it is the first centre that the Comisaria de Familia de Cuzco - Cusco's Family Care police force - come to). The home also receives children with disabilities who benefit from integration with non-disabled children.
These are three houses separate from but near the Provisional home, where ten girls and boys live under the care of surrogate parents. They are given individual care in a family environment.
We work with a multidisciplinary team of local professionals in order to respect and boost the cultural identity of the area.
